Aparajita catches a glimpse of Lalit outside and immediately convinces herself she is imagining things. She shakes it off and heads back inside. Elsewhere Rakshit sits down with Ira and brings up something he has held back for a while. He asks her directly why she lied about saving Arvind from the river. He tells her he never wanted to bring it up but she has left him no option. Ira drops the act and admits the truth — she wanted to make a good impression on his family and thought the lie would help her earn their love and acceptance. Rakshit tells her she was never an outsider to begin with and that no amount of lying will ever get someone the love they are looking for. He calls her his closest friend and asks her plainly to stop making Aparajita’s life harder. Then he walks away.
In the colony neighbor Richa comes over to invite both Malti and Aparajita for a puja. A woman nearby stops her and makes a pointed comment — Aparajita will not remain a married woman for much longer given the ongoing fight with her husband. Richa ends up inviting only Malti and leaves without extending the invite to Aparajita. The woman then tells Malti she means no offense but adds that a woman without a husband cannot get a place in heaven. She suggests Malti encourage Aparajita to think about patching things up with Lalit. Ramgopal stands nearby and takes in every word.
A little later Malti calls Aparajita and asks why she has not come home yet. Aparajita says she has some work left and will leave shortly. One by one the office employees begin heading out. Rakshit lingers and watches Aparajita working. He thinks to himself that she is the complete package — but that package does not carry his home address. Aparajita looks up and notices him standing there. She asks if something is wrong. Rakshit covers quickly and says he was looking for a consignment. Aparajita shows him some sarees. He tells her everyone has gone and she should head home too. Aparajita stands her ground — she asks whether his own office is unsafe. She tells him this place belongs to her and she does not feel alone here. This is where she feels safe. Arvind arrives and Rakshit heads out with him. Aparajita gets back to her work.
The security guards get distracted and start watching something on their phones. Lalit uses that window to slip inside the building. Aparajita wraps up and goes to Rakshit’s cabin to put away a saree. Lalit appears and starts with his apologies. Aparajita is not interested. She tells him to leave. Lalit begs for one more chance. Aparajita tells him she spent four years giving him chances and all she ever got back was betrayal. Lalit asks how long she plans to live alone and says a husband is a woman’s real companion. Aparajita tells him a woman is her own companion. She pushes him away and takes cover behind a door.
Lalit bangs on the door demanding she open it. In his frustration he hurls a water bottle at the electric board and storms out — not realizing it has sparked a fire. Aparajita steps out and notices smoke filling the room. She spots the fire and immediately rushes to protect the consignment, throwing it out of harm’s way. She then runs to Rakshit’s cabin to rescue Shastri’s saree.
A security guard spots the fire and calls the fire brigade. Aparajita hears footsteps approaching and assumes Lalit has come back. She starts speaking out loud — telling him to stay away, talking about everything she went through in that marriage, the pain and the abuse she endured. She does not know Rakshit is standing right there listening to every single word. When she finally stops Rakshit quietly calls out her name. Aparajita freezes when she hears his voice.

Aparajita thanks Rakshit for always believing in her. Rakshit tells her the road ahead is not going to be simple. Aparajita says she already knows — no path is ever easy for a woman. She then finds out that Lalit and his mother are moving into her colony and immediately shares the news with Rakshit.
Editor’s Take
Lalit starting a fire while walking away without even noticing is almost too perfect a metaphor for who he is — someone who causes destruction and feels no responsibility for it. Aparajita talking about her marriage out loud while thinking she was alone was the most raw moment of this episode. Years of pain just poured out and Rakshit heard all of it. That changes things between them whether either of them is ready for it or not. Lalit moving into the colony means this is far from over.
