Sairaab Update: Nayanika Pushes Ishaan Away, Cries Alone Admitting She Feels Different With Him
The evening at home begins on a lighter note. Ujjaini tells Nayanika she was initially annoyed when Ishaan called her by name but Rose explained he is just the American type so she has made peace with it. She hugs her mother and says she has nobody in this world except her. Nayanika keeps things simple and suggests they eat dinner.
At the table the usual family dynamics play out. Rusha tells Nayanika to sit. Indrani says she should be serving. Jaya asks her to sit and eat properly. Shreya makes a pointed comment about Nayanika eating less to maintain her figure. Nayanika says she does not think that much about it. Rusha defends her — she is a doctor, what is wrong with taking care of herself. Indrani immediately qualifies it by saying Nayanika is just an ENT doctor. Ujjaini fires back that Nayanika cleared the same medical exam as Neil. Indrani waves it off.
Rudra changes the subject and asks whether Ishaan has left. Ujjaini tells him Ishaan left today but will be coming back for her freshers party. Rusha asks if they can afford his fees. Ujjaini says he agreed to their budget. Shreya raises an eyebrow and says it sounds like Ishaan has gotten attached to this place — and attached to Nayanika specifically. Ujjaini says Ishaan lived in Kolkata for eight years so the connection makes sense. Shreya is not satisfied with that answer.
On the other side Angana confronts Neil about referring a patient to Nayanika without telling her. Neil asks why it is a big deal. Angana says it feels like he has never truly moved on. She reminds him that his father and uncle make her feel like she broke the family even though she came into Neil’s life because of Rohan. Neil holds her and says they are happy — why bring up the past. He acknowledges that Nayanika is Ujjaini’s mother and that is a fact that will not change. He tells her Nayanika has never come between them and asks her not to overthink.
Back at the dinner table Nayanika tells Shreya plainly that she treated Ishaan and he is grateful — that is all there is to it. Shreya asks whether Ishaan took only Nayanika out for a treat or invited everyone. Ujjaini says she will ask Ishaan to invite Shreya next time. Shreya says she would never go just because a man called her. Indrani asks Nayanika why she never mentioned any of this. Nayanika says Ishaan changed his schedule so she went to deliver his medical report. Shreya makes another dig about doctors visiting patients at home. Nayanika sits quietly thinking she keeps ending up in situations she cannot explain — and the lies are piling up.
Later that night Ishaan calls. Nayanika picks up and tells him he cannot keep calling whenever he feels like it. She reminds him she has an adult daughter and a family. She tells him her value system is not something she is willing to compromise and warns him she will block his number if he calls again.
Ujjaini comes in afterward and reminds Nayanika they promised not to hide things from each other. She shares that her classmate Seshu likes her but she has not made any commitments. She asks Nayanika to come to the freshers party and meet him. Nayanika says no. Ujjaini says Ishaan will be upset if she does not come. Nayanika tells her it is better to stay away from celebrities — she would not even understand his songs. Ujjaini gives her a look and leaves.
Nayanika sits alone with her thoughts. She admits to herself that she feels different when she is around Ishaan. Nobody has taken care of her the way he does. But she tells herself this has to end. She cries quietly by herself.
Meanwhile Ena confronts Ishaan and says she knows he loves her but asks why he is chasing after a doctor. Ishaan tells her nobody can be compared to Nayanika. Ena asks whether he wants to marry a woman the public will call too old for him. Ishaan shuts her down and tells her to stop.

What’s Coming Next
Indrani says Nayanika is a divorcee and therefore cannot participate in the ritual. At the freshers party Ishaan takes the stage and talks about his lover — comparing her to a star.
Editor’s Take
Nayanika crying alone after telling herself this has to end was the most honest moment of this episode. She is not confused about her feelings — she is scared of them. The family dinner was uncomfortable in the way only joint family dinners can be with everyone watching and commenting on everything. Ishaan shutting down Ena without hesitation showed exactly where his head is. The freshers party is where everything is going to come out into the open and Nayanika not attending might not be an option anymore.
