Sairaab Update: Nayanika Catches Ishaan Singing Her Poem Lines At Concert
The episode begins at home with Indrani expressing her wish to visit the Puri Jagannath Temple with the whole family. The immediate question is who stays back. Shreya points out that Mini and Romeo have exams so one elder needs to remain. Rusha offers to stay with Nayanika. Nayanika immediately says she will stay and Rusha should go. Jaya says they do not take Nayanika along every year anyway. Nayanika says she does not enjoy vacations.
Indrani takes the conversation somewhere more uncomfortable. She says even Nayanika’s maternal family does not include her in trips. Rusha defends her — Nayanika is independent and does not need to depend on anyone. Indrani brings up Neil offering monthly expenses which Nayanika refused. Jaya says accepting that would have been an insult. Indrani says everyone only ever sees Neil’s mistake. Jaya asks whose else mistake it was. She points out that Nayanika never remarried and moved on. Nayanika asks them to drop it. Indrani presses — a clap cannot happen with one hand. Nayanika quietly says it was her mistake that she could not adjust.
Indrani then tells her there is a puja at home the day after tomorrow and she should take leave. Nayanika says she will check. Shreya immediately brings up how easily Nayanika got leave when she was going around with Ishaan. Indrani adds that Angana is always ready to participate but Nayanika keeps making excuses. Nayanika says Angana has a reason to prove herself as a good daughter-in-law. She no longer carries that responsibility — because she clearly could not be what Indrani wanted her to be.
Meanwhile Ujjaini has noticed something. Ishaan called Nayanika multiple times the previous night. She asks her mother about it directly. Nayanika covers and says Ishaan called to ask about his medicines. Ujjaini points out the call lasted half an hour. Nayanika says he talked about his concerts too and that she is probably just a guardian figure to him. She adds that his voice is his livelihood and he is worried about it. Ujjaini accepts that and says she is just possessive about her mother. She hugs her and leaves to study.
Nayanika stands alone. She thinks about how recently she felt genuinely cared for — and now that feeling has been replaced by emptiness.
At the hospital Sunidhi tells Nayanika she wants to attend Ujjaini’s college freshers event because Ishaan is performing. Nayanika tells her to contact Ujjaini directly and to keep her out of it.
On Ishaan’s side Ena points out that performing at a college freshers event is beneath him now given how famous he has become. She says it is happening because of Nayanika. Ishaan tells her to stay in her lane — he makes his own decisions about concerts. Ena suggests taking him abroad for better medical consultation and questions whether Nayanika is even capable enough to treat him. She frames it as concern. Ishaan asks her not to worry about him.
Later Nayanika visits her mother’s house and finds out Indrani has invited everyone for the puja. Gabloo is watching Ishaan’s Chennai concert on TV and asks Nayanika for Ujjaini’s old guitar since she is not using it anymore. He wants to be a music composer for Ishaan’s team someday. Nayanika agrees to give him the guitar and sits down. Then she hears it. Ishaan is singing her poem lines on stage at his concert.
She freezes.

Indrani says only married women should offer water at the ritual. Jaya calls out to Nayanika. Indrani says Nayanika is divorced now. Nayanika says she performed every ritual when she was a daughter-in-law of this house — but she is no longer interested in any of it. At the concert Ishaan tells the audience the one he loves is like a star. He can feel her light but not her presence.

Nayanika saying it was her mistake for not being able to adjust was the saddest line of this episode — said quietly, accepted like a fact, when it clearly is not. The family keeps picking at that wound without realising it. Ishaan singing her poem lines on a big stage without knowing she is watching through a small TV screen was a genuinely beautiful moment. He is telling the whole world about her without using her name. She is sitting in her mother’s living room feeling empty. That distance between them right now is the whole story.
