Nayanika’s mother Madhavi’s house. Gabloo is excited and tells Nayanika that his father never buys concert tickets. Nayanika laughs and says she would have gotten them for him if he did not have exams. She checks in on her father who tells her he is feeling better. Nayanika tells the family that Ishaan is coming over for dinner. Her sister-in-law immediately asks whether Ishaan has feelings for Ujjaini. Nayanika remembers the moment Ishaan expressed his feelings to her but keeps that to herself. Madhavi steps in and says celebrities do things in the heat of the moment — they should not read too much into it. Nayanika tells them Ishaan is simply coming because he is craving Bengali home food. Madhavi adds that the media has gotten worse for connecting Nayanika’s name with Ishaan’s. Nayanika says she is getting late and Gabloo runs off to get ready.
Ujjaini calls on the house number. Nayanika picks up and says her phone had switched off without her noticing. Ujjaini asks why she did not come to the hospital and why she is apparently roaming with Ishaan again. Nayanika says she got delayed and will bring Gabloo along shortly. She disconnects and stands there realising — that was the first time she lied to Ujjaini. Back at Ujjaini’s end she tells everyone Nayanika is at Madhavi’s house and scolds them for doubting her.
Elsewhere Angana is pushing Rohan to focus on his medical entrance exam. Rohan says he wants to be an astronaut and nobody ever listens to what he actually wants. Angana tells him not to argue and sends him inside. She then turns to Neil and says Nayanika should not have gone around with Ishaan like that. Neil says there is nothing wrong with it. Angana says he never finds fault in Nayanika. Neil asks why he should look for faults that do not exist — and reminds her quietly that he wronged Nayanika. Angana asks if he is saying she forced him to stay with her. Neil says that is not what he meant. Angana brings up how Ujjaini misbehaves with her in class and says Nayanika never stopped it. Neil says that is not Nayanika’s fault. Angana says Ujjaini would not behave that way if Nayanika had raised her better — and points out that Rohan never acts like that. Neil says Rohan and Ujjaini are not in the same position. Rohan did not grow up in a broken home. He walks away without another word.
Gabloo tells Nayanika he cannot wait to meet Ishaan. Nayanika quietly buys a flower bouquet on the way and asks Gabloo not to tell anyone about it.
Ishaan arrives at the house. Everyone crowds around him for selfies. Gabloo presents the bouquet — the one Nayanika bought — straight to Ishaan. Nayanika introduces the family. Indrani wastes no time and asks Ishaan if he is single or married. Gabloo answers for him — single. Ishaan tells Indrani he simply has not found the right girl yet. Gabloo’s mother joins in and asks Ishaan why Nayanika never brought him to her house before. Ishaan plays along and looks at Nayanika. Indrani raises an eyebrow at her. Nayanika tells her she will explain later.
Neil and Angana introduce themselves. Ishaan’s expression shifts for just a moment when he sees Neil. Ujjaini asks if dinner is ready. Nayanika says she will check and slips into the kitchen. Ujjaini turns to Ishaan and explains that it is a joint family so he must be confused. Then she adds — Nayanika is a divorcee. But she still lives here with everyone.
