Aparajita asked Rakshit what he meant by one-sided. Rakshit told her he was just saying something nice about her. He asked her to get some sleep and ended the call.Next morning at the office Aparajita kept looking toward the door. Rakshit had not come in yet. She figured he must have slept in.
She called him. No answer. She got back to her work, started putting together a design she wanted to show him, and kept glancing up every now and then. Still no Rakshit. She told herself he was probably caught up with something else. By the time her work wrapped up the worry had settled in properly. She spotted the halwa she had brought for him sitting there untouched. She found Dubey and asked him where Rakshit was.
Dubey told her not to worry — he had gone with Rakshit for a factory visit and the network there was poor. Aparajita asked why Ira had not come to office either. Dubey said he had no idea and walked off.Ira meanwhile had found Aparajita’s social media. She was thinking about what Sheela had said — that there must be something wrong with Aparajita, otherwise why would she still be single. Ira started going through her follow list and found Aradhya’s account.
She told herself Aparajita could not be as perfect as she seemed. There had to be something.Aradhya had quietly deleted her engagement photos so Vivaan would not come across them. Rohan called and she picked up. She took a dig at him almost immediately — Pramila had taken fifteen lakhs from Aparajita without blinking, but when she had asked Rohan for five hundred rupees for a face cream he had talked about credit card limits.
Rohan ignored that and asked about the engagement photos — he wanted to send them to his colleagues but they had disappeared from her account. Aradhya told him she did not want anyone casting an evil eye on what they had. Rohan melted completely and said she just loved him too much.At Rakshit’s home, Sudha had brought Chandrabhaga over.
She introduced her to Rakshit. Chandrabhaga said she had heard from Sudha that some girl had turned Rakshit down and declared that whoever she was, she must be foolish.Aparajita reached Rakshit’s house and called him from outside. Rakshit came out and asked her what she was doing there. She handed him the halwa and told him she had made it herself.
His face lit up. He said it had to be good because she had made it and asked her to come inside. Aparajita told him she had a lawyer to meet — the first hearing of the divorce case was tomorrow. Rakshit brought her in anyway. As they walked through the door a flower garland hanging above came loose and fell over both of them. Rakshit smiled. The title track played softly in the background. He took her to the temple inside the house and they prayed together quietly.
Then Aparajita said she was getting late and left.Rakshit brought the halwa to Sudha. She understood immediately that Aparajita had been there. She asked about her. Rakshit said she had already gone. Sudha had taken Chandrabhaga out hoping they would cross paths but Aparajita had left in an auto by then.Later Chandrabhaga told Sudha about the divorce case. Sudha said she understood what Chandrabhaga was going through.
Chandrabhaga was not sympathetic about it at all — she called her daughter-in-law a curse, not a goddess. Around the same time Rakshit messaged Aparajita — there was an urgent meeting in Mumbai and she needed to get ready and head to the airport.—
