Neil asked Nayanika directly about her health. Nayanika told him it was nothing serious. Indrani stepped in and said Neil was a doctor and Nayanika should tell him about the tests. Nayanika reminded Indrani that she was a doctor too and that the tests were routine. She went inside before anyone could push further. Neil stood there and said she did not look fine to him. Baba asked Neil quietly whether he thought he still had the right to question Nayanika.
Elsewhere Shirsho asked Ujjaini if she trusted him. Ujjaini said she did not know yet. Shirsho told her he was in no hurry and they could start as friends. He asked why Nayanika had never remarried. Ujjaini said her mother was not that kind of person and honestly she did not want anyone new entering Nayanika’s life either. She admitted she was possessive about her. Shirsho told her everyone deserved to be happy. He asked what if someone special came along for Nayanika. Ujjaini told him not to go there. Shirsho told her to just spend more time with her mother. Ujjaini looked at him and said he was really different from anyone she had met.
Neil came home late. Angana asked where he had been. He said he had gone to his mother’s house. Rohan mentioned he wanted to meet Ujjaini. Angana told him Ujjaini had no interest in seeing him. Rohan told her not to come between a brother and sister and said he wanted to see Nayanika tomorrow too. He went inside. Angana turned on Neil and said he had gone to see Nayanika. Neil told her Nayanika was Ujjaini’s mother — what was wrong with checking on her after hearing she was unwell. Angana asked him to leave her alone. Neil sat with his thoughts after that. Nayanika’s face had looked pale. It did not match a normal viral fever. And she had said nothing about any tests.
Ujjaini picked up when Ishaan called. He asked about Nayanika. Ujjaini said she was doing better. Nayanika, standing nearby, quietly told Ujjaini not to mention the Mumbai trip to Ishaan. Ujjaini agreed. Ishaan told Ujjaini he had no real reason to come back to Kolkata — he had only called to check on Nayanika. When Ujjaini handed the phone over Nayanika refused to take it. Ujjaini told him Nayanika was busy and he could call later. She hung up. Then she asked her mother why she kept doing this with Ishaan. Nayanika said he was a celebrity and that was reason enough. She told Ujjaini not to hand her the phone next time he called.
The next day Nayanika sat across from her senior doctor after the tests. He told her he had made arrangements for everything in Mumbai after Shikha filled him in. He also told her he would not say anything to Neil.
At Ishaan’s end he told his team that only Krish would be joining him for the donation campaign. Ena asked why their charity work always circled back to children. Something crossed Ishaan’s face — a memory from his own childhood. He did not answer her. He refused to give her a lift and left.
Back at college a peon passed on a message that Neil had called for Ujjaini. She said she was not going. Shirsho offered to go with her and told her not to give anyone a reason to talk.

Nayanika asks Ishaan where he is taking her. He asks if her family knows about the illness. She says they don’t. Ishaan tells her he cannot lose her. He promises not to come between her and her happiness — he just wants to be there with her through whatever is coming.
Editor’s Take
Nayanika refusing to take Ishaan’s call while clearly thinking about him is not going to hold for much longer — the precap makes that obvious. What is interesting is that Ishaan already knows something is wrong without being told. He did not call Ujjaini to chat. He called because something was sitting with him. Neil putting the pieces together on his own is a separate problem Nayanika has not accounted for. She is a doctor trying to hide a diagnosis from two other doctors who both care about her. That is not a plan that survives very long. And Ishaan’s reaction to Ena’s question about children and charity — whatever that memory is, the show is holding it back deliberately.
