Sairaab Update: Nayanika Decides To Move Out, Falls Ill With High Fever
Nayanika announces she will be shifting to the hospital quarters so Indrani can finally have her peace. Indrani lashes out, calling her ungrateful and reminding her that her own family never stood by her. Nayanika calmly points out that Neil was the one who left to marry someone else, and she never even filed a case against him. She explains she stayed in that house all this time only because of Baba and Kaka, but now she’s decided to apply for the hospital quarters instead. She walks inside without waiting for a response.
Elsewhere, Ishaan questions Ena about her conversation with Nayanika. Ena claims she only discussed his treatment with her. Ishaan warns that he won’t stay quiet if he finds out she said anything inappropriate. Ena defensively asks what she’s supposed to do if someone chooses to lie to him. Ishaan firmly responds that Nayanika never lies.
The next morning, Nayanika wakes up still running a fever. She takes leave from work and learns she’s expected to attend a doctors’ seminar in Mumbai soon. Meanwhile, Ishaan’s friends plan an outing around Kolkata. Ena asks if he wants to join them since he’s free. Ishaan says he isn’t in the mood. She points out the contrast — he happily spent time with Nayanika but seems reluctant now. She adds that Nayanika, being an ordinary woman, probably can’t relate to his world as a celebrity. Ishaan counters that this is exactly what makes Nayanika special — she treats him like any other person, and he believes she could have genuinely been a good friend to him. Ena privately hopes that never happens.
Back home, Baba, Jaya, and Kaka all urge Nayanika to rest. Rusha checks her temperature and is alarmed at how warm she feels. Rudra also insists she lie down. Nayanika agrees but Rusha decides to accompany her, worried she might faint. Indrani sarcastically questions who will look after her once she’s living alone in hospital quarters. Nayanika simply says she’ll trust God to take care of her. As Rusha leads her inside, Jaya asks Baba why Indrani seems so angry with Nayanika lately. Baba explains it stems from Neil leaving the house. Indrani adds bitterly that since Neil seems happy with Angana now, the divorce must have been Nayanika’s fault all along — a comment Nayanika overhears in silence.
Once settled in bed, Rusha calls Ujjaini over. Nayanika insists she’ll be fine since she’s already taken medicine. When Ujjaini arrives and sees her mother’s condition, she grows visibly worried, noting how high the fever actually is. Nayanika reassures her not to skip college because of this, but Ujjaini refuses to leave her side. She then takes a call from Ishaan and thanks him for something he’d helped with earlier.
Ishaan mentions he has a flight scheduled for 6 PM. Ujjaini jokingly offers to treat him if he’s free, but he says it isn’t possible. She replies that she’s not free either, since she needs to care for her sick mother, and asks if he’d like to speak with Nayanika directly. However, Nayanika declines, saying she’s too exhausted to talk. Ujjaini suggests he go enjoy lunch with his friends instead and ends the call.
The episode ends here.
What’s Coming Next
Ishaan shows up at Nayanika’s house wanting to see her in person. He asks if Ena said something that upset her. Nayanika urges him not to miss his flight, but Ishaan insists he has two important things he needs to tell her before leaving. She tells him to go anyway.
Editor’s Take
Nayanika’s quiet decision to move out feels less like running away and more like finally choosing herself after years of enduring quiet jabs disguised as concern. Indrani’s comment blaming her for the divorce, especially after everything Nayanika has already absorbed silently, makes her resolve to leave feel completely justified. With Ishaan determined to say something important before his flight, this could be the moment where everything finally comes out in the open.
