The episode begins with Krishna, a cheerful young taxi driver, watching a wedding procession pass by on the road. As the music plays and the groom rides proudly on a decorated horse, Krishna imagines himself in the groom’s place. Marriage is clearly one of his biggest dreams, and every wedding reminds him of the future he hopes to have.
His daydream is interrupted by a passenger who complains that she is getting late. Krishna immediately speeds up and skillfully drives her to her destination. Impressed by his driving, the woman praises him. Krishna mistakenly believes she might be interested in him and begins introducing himself.
However, his hopes are quickly shattered.
The young woman asks him to stop the taxi, where a young man arrives to greet her. She happily introduces him as her boyfriend and explains that she is on her way to meet his mother. Krishna forces a smile and wishes her good luck before watching them leave together.
Disappointed once again, Krishna looks toward Lord Ganesha and wonders when he will finally meet the woman who will call him “Saiyya” instead of “Bhaiyya.”
Meanwhile, Sangam is celebrating a major achievement. At her college convocation ceremony, she is honored as the pride of the institution. After taking blessings from her mother and greeting her family, she proudly receives a gold medal for her accomplishments.
The principal invites Sangam to address the students and share her future goals. Unlike many others, Sangam has no interest in marriage at the moment. She confidently declares that she wants to study abroad and learn modern techniques for constructing affordable housing.
Her dream is to help ordinary people own homes and improve lives through her work.
When questioned about marriage plans, Sangam firmly states that she is already married to her dreams. She promises to return to the college ten years later as a successful woman who fulfilled every goal she set for herself.
Her family listens proudly, but her mother quietly remarks that it may now be time to think about marriage. Anirudh supports Sangam but hints that there is another family dream waiting to be fulfilled.
Elsewhere, Krishna receives a call from Mahi, who reminds him that they are supposed to visit a prospective bride’s family for Ganga Bhaiyya. Krishna promises to arrive soon but worries about money after realizing he cannot afford expensive sweets.
Before leaving, he calls his taxi owner for permission. Instead of support, he receives insults. The owner mocks Krishna’s family and claims that no respectable family would agree to marry their daughter into their household. Krishna refuses to stay silent and defends his family’s dignity.
Later, Krishna stops at a roadside tea stall where he meets Ajab. He asks Ajab to accompany them to meet Ganga’s prospective bride. However, Ajab avoids the conversation.
Things become more unpleasant when Krishna’s uncle begins mocking the family. He claims that no alliance will ever work because there is no woman in their house. The uncle also cruelly reminds them of their late mother, upsetting everyone.
Despite the insults, Krishna remains optimistic. He confidently declares that a woman will soon enter their home and bring happiness back into their lives.
Meanwhile, Sangam’s family visits a temple. Her father secretly prays for his wish to come true. Sangam proudly shows him her newly earned gold medal, unaware that he has planned a surprise for her.
Back at home, Ganga prepares for another bride-viewing ceremony. Mahi and the family try to stay positive, even though several previous proposals have failed. Satluj, however, refuses to share their optimism. He openly states that no father would willingly send his daughter into a house without a motherly figure.
His harsh comments trigger an argument with Krishna. The situation escalates into a physical fight, forcing Ganga to intervene. During the struggle, Ganga’s clothes get torn, leaving Mahi frustrated and disappointed.
The biggest shock of the episode arrives when Sangam asks her father about the special gift he promised her for winning the gold medal.
To her surprise, he reveals that a groom’s family is coming to meet her. He proudly says that the real gold medal in her life will be a husband who treats her like a queen.
Sangam is left completely stunned.
The episode ends with Sangam struggling to process the unexpected marriage proposal, while Krishna’s family continues preparing for yet another alliance meeting. With one person chasing marriage and another running away from it, fate appears to be setting the stage for an interesting journey ahead.
Editor’s Take
The premiere successfully establishes the contrasting personalities of Krishna and Sangam. Krishna dreams of marriage and family life, while Sangam is determined to prioritize her career and ambitions. This difference creates a strong foundation for future conflict and romance.
The episode also highlights important themes such as family expectations, societal pressure, and personal dreams. Sangam’s shock over her father’s decision suggests that a major clash is coming, while Krishna’s unwavering optimism makes him an instantly relatable character. The coming episodes will reveal whether destiny can bring together two people whose life goals seem completely opposite.
