Anupama Update: Anupama Visits The Kotharis, Prem Demands An Apology From Digvijay
The episode opens with Ansh in a heated discussion with Leela about inviting the Kotharis to his wedding. He argues that their presence will not bring happiness but only disruption to the celebrations. Leela explains that the invitation is more about respecting Rahi and Pari’s connection to the family. Ansh points out that while pregnant Pari might come, Rahi will likely be stuck attending alone, and Prem will simply hover around looking displeased the entire time. Hasmuk steps in, saying it is their duty to extend the invitation regardless of how the Kotharis choose to respond. Anupama backs Leela and Hasmuk on this.
Paritosh and Pakhi insist the Kotharis won’t show up anyway. Anupama turns the conversation back on Paritosh, questioning why he didn’t stop Pakhi from going to beg Vasundhara over the Ishani and Banku situation. Meanwhile, Prerna expresses her wish to invite Prem personally, calling him the only true friend she has left who could attend her wedding from her side. Anupama ultimately decides they will go ahead and invite the Kotharis.
Elsewhere, Ishani is clearly frustrated with Pakhi and Paritosh, taking her irritation out while chopping curry leaves. Banku notices and gently asks what’s bothering her. In a moment of frustration, Ishani suggests they simply run away and get married to put an end to everyone’s judgment. Banku firmly refuses, saying he wants to earn his place properly — to become a husband Ishani can be proud of and a brother-in-law Anupama can be proud of too. Ishani tells him that while she, Digvijay, and Anupama will always stand behind him, he needs to learn to stand up for himself when Pakhi or Paritosh insult him. Banku takes her words to heart.
Anupama, accompanied by Hasmuk, Leela, and Prerna, arrives at the Kothari house. Meeta questions what brings them there. Anupama responds pointedly, noting she has every right to visit, just as Vasundhara did when she came to interfere in Ishani and Banku’s matter. She thanks Vasundhara sarcastically for her earlier involvement.
Prem flatly rejects the wedding invitation and tells Rahi to hand it back. Anupama tries reasoning with the family, but Prem insists no one from the Kothari household will attend Ansh and Prerna’s wedding, allowing only Pranshi to go. Prerna asks Prem directly why he would abandon her on her wedding day when he claims to be her only friend. She turns to Shruti, accusing her of being the reason behind the misunderstanding between her and Prem. Shruti counters by calling Prerna a betrayer. Anupama maintains that inviting them was simply the right thing to do, and attending is entirely the Kotharis’ choice.
Prem then sets a condition — they will only attend if Digvijay publicly apologizes to him. Khyati immediately points out that Prem was the one in the wrong that day, not Digvijay. Anil urges Prem to let it go, but Prem refuses to move past it. Gautam escalates further, demanding Digvijay come and beg for forgiveness. Hasmuk firmly defends Digvijay, turning to Vasundhara and asking her to teach Prem the difference between right and wrong instead. He asks Pari to bring Pranshi along and leaves the final decision about attendance up to the Kotharis themselves.
Anupama tells Prem plainly that if Digvijay had genuinely been at fault, he would have apologized without needing to be convinced. She makes it clear that her decision stands — Digvijay will not bow down to Prem, because she knows exactly who is guilty here. Pakhi and Paritosh chime in loudly, questioning why the Kotharis would even consider attending after enduring so many insults. Anupama quietly decides she will keep this entire confrontation hidden from Digvijay.

Anupama looks around for Digvijay. Leela assumes he must have gone to pick up sweets. Banku mentions that Digvijay already knows the sweets are being delivered separately and has instead gone out to arrange items for a ritual. Meanwhile, Prem is visibly shocked to see Digvijay show up at his house again, questioning what brought him there this time. Leela informs Anupama that everything needed for the ritual has already been arranged, leaving her confused about where Digvijay actually went.

Banku’s quiet determination to earn respect rather than take the easy way out with Ishani says a lot about his character growth this episode. Anupama’s calculated visit to the Kotharis, throwing Vasundhara’s own words back at her, showed her sharpest side yet. But the real tension lies in what Anupama is hiding from Digvijay — and given Prem’s growing obsession with revenge, that secret won’t stay buried for long.
