Lalit pretends to be the perfect husband in front of everyone. He emotionally says that after marriage, a girl’s in-laws’ house becomes her real home where she should be treated like a queen, not like a maid in her parents’ house.
While everyone feels emotional listening to him, Aparajita silently remembers the abuse and humiliation she suffered because of Lalit. Flashbacks reveal Lalit’s violent and toxic side, making it clear that he is only acting innocent in front of the family.
Meanwhile, neighbors gather outside the house and begin gossiping. They misunderstand that a serious issue is happening between Lalit and Aparajita. Rashmi notices them spying and angrily sends them away.
