Will Aparajita’s Disappearance Bring Everyone To Their Senses?
Rakshit sat with Sudha and told her the truth about why he had never proposed to Aparajita — he had found out she was married when he went to do exactly that. He apologised for not being clearer about where things stood between them. Sudha told him the damage was already done. Malti’s words in that courtroom had humiliated them and she could not simply move past that. She asked him how he could still have feelings for someone when he knew the full picture. Rakshit told her to sleep on it and they would talk in the morning. Ira stood nearby taking all of this in and thinking that Sudha was going to be the one to finally pull Rakshit and Aparajita apart.
Later Rakshit found himself in a dream. Aparajita came to him and said she had decided to take back her resignation. She told him she had figured out what to do with her feelings — his support mattered too much to her and she did not want distance between them. She called him the reward of her good deeds. Rakshit felt something lift inside him. He thought the story was over and instead it had turned. Then a car came out of nowhere and hit Aparajita. He woke up.
Morning at Malti’s house. Malti told Ramgopal that Aparajita clearly did not care about them since she had not come back. Ramgopal looked at her and said something he had been holding. He asked her why she was worried when she was the one who had thrown Aparajita out. He told her she had lost the right to speak about Aparajita and that today he was choosing his daughter. He walked out.
Rakshit went to Sudha. She told him she would feel better the day he removed Aparajita from her job. Rakshit asked how she expected him to do that. He explained what had actually happened — why Malti had reacted the way she did, what Aparajita had been dealing with. Sudha told him he was not the same person she knew before all of this. She blamed Aparajita for the change. Rakshit told her Aparajita had wanted to resign the moment she found out about his feelings — she had not tried to use it or hold onto it. Sudha asked him why he kept defending her. Rakshit said he was stating facts about a capable employee. He left. Sudha stood there not knowing what to do with any of it.
Ramgopal noticed Aparajita had left early and tried calling her. Switched off. The landlord told him Aparajita had not come home the night before. Ramgopal gathered the family and told them. Malti heard it and the worry that crossed her face was real. Aradhya suggested calling Rakshit — maybe Aparajita had gone to him. Ramgopal agreed.
Rakshit reached the office. Aparajita was not there. Ira heard this and thought to herself — after everything that happened yesterday, how could she possibly show up. Rakshit stood there replaying the conversation where he had tried to convince Aparajita not to resign and she had said she would think about it.
Ramgopal and Rakshit called each other at the exact same moment. Rakshit went straight to Aparajita’s house. Malti opened the door and asked him where her daughter was.

Editor’s Take
Ramgopal choosing Aparajita out loud in front of Malti was a long time coming and it landed quietly which made it hit harder. Rakshit’s dream ending with Aparajita getting hit by a car says something about where his mind is — even in the version where everything goes right, something takes her away. Sudha asking what magic Aparajita did on him is the wrong question but it is the only one she knows how to ask right now. Malti asking Rakshit where her daughter is after everything she did in that courtroom is the moment the episode ends on and it deserved to be.
