Lalit raises the knife and threatens to slit his wrist. Chandrabaga immediately senses this is just theatrics, breaking into fake tears and pleading with him to think of her. Everyone in the room urges him to drop the knife — everyone except Aparajita, who stands completely still. Lalit insists he cannot live without her. Aparajita refuses outright. Malti warns that she cannot stay in the house if she won’t go back to Lalit. Unbeknownst to them, Rakshit’s call accidentally connects at this exact moment, and he hears everything.
Ramgopal steps in, telling Malti this is wrong. Even Lalit, surprisingly, asks her not to do this to Aparajita before leading Chandrabaga away. Malti insists her decision is final, declaring how much Lalit truly loves her daughter. Ramgopal reminds her this is his house too and that Aparajita isn’t going anywhere. Malti threatens to leave herself instead. Aparajita quietly says she will be the one to go, heading upstairs and returning with her packed luggage. Malti tells her she’s made the right choice and will be happy returning to Lalit. Aparajita clarifies firmly — she is only leaving this house, not going back to Lalit. She would choose hell over that house. Ramgopal begs her to stay. As she walks toward the door, she looks back once at her mother. Meanwhile, Rakshit has already arrived in her neighborhood.
