Anupama Update: Café Selected For Competition, Prem Vows To Defeat Anupama
The episode continues with the Banku and Ishani situation still hanging in the air. Digvijay tells everyone that if given time both of them will walk separate paths. Anupama says that is exactly the point — if after a year they still find their way back to each other then the love is real. If they choose different directions it was only attraction. Leela refuses to buy it. She says love is not like a pickle that gets better with age. She is firmly against giving them any time at all.
Pakhi jumps in and accuses Anupama of trapping everyone with her words. She brings up Vasundhara’s view — that poverty is a curse — and says she will not let Ishani suffer that life. Pakhi says Ishani is a gem and deserves at least gold. Anupama pushes back and says she does not agree that poor people cannot love. Vasundhara asks her directly whether love alone is enough to run a household. Anupama says she is not arguing against practicality — she is arguing against the idea that poor people have no right to love or build a life.
Anupama then speaks directly to Banku and Ishani. She praises Banku and tells both of them she is giving them one year. She says she genuinely hopes their love grows stronger but if at the end of that year they cannot see a future together they must accept it and move on. Both Banku and Ishani agree. Pakhi and Paritosh are furious but outnumbered.
Vasundhara takes a moment before leaving. She tells Anupama she took a bold decision and now only time and God will know the outcome. She appreciated that Anupama heard her out patiently. Pakhi tries to stop Vasundhara from leaving so easily. Kinjal tells Pakhi to stop reacting cheaply. Pakhi fires back saying Kinjal calls her cheap because Pari married into the Kothari family. She says Ishani will not spend her life washing used utensils. Ishani quietly says she will wash utensils if she has to. She likes the decision Anupama made. The family then shifts to discussing Ansh and Prerna’s wedding — eight days away.
Then the news arrives. Love You Zindagi Café has been selected for the competition. Leela immediately worries — a wedding and a competition back to back is too much. Anupama says she will handle double the pressure because her team is behind her. The Shahs rally around her. Anupama stands alone for a moment and takes stock — she has to save Digvijay’s house, organise Ansh’s wedding and somehow buy her own place. She quietly asks God to look after things.
Pakhi, Paritosh and Leela huddle separately. Leela says Ansh and Prerna’s wedding should not happen. She fears Prerna will take over the house.
Banku finds Anupama and thanks her for standing by him. Digvijay brings tea and sits with her. He tells her Anuj would have been proud watching her fight through everything. Anupama says Anuj was the one who shaped her into someone who could fight. Digvijay says Anuj used to say exactly that. The two of them quietly decide to focus on preparing for the competition.
At the Kothari house Gautam tells Prem that Love You Zindagi Café made it into the competition. Prem cannot believe it — he burned their form himself. How did they get selected? Shruti reminds him Anupama filled the form jointly so his sabotage did not work. Prem is rattled. Gautam asks if he is scared of Anupama. Shruti pushes him to prepare properly — Anupama never loses when food is involved. Rahi says she trusts him completely. Prem straightens up. He says this competition is a battle and he will win against his enemy no matter what.

Shruti tells Prem to order an imported knife — their competition needs to be cut with sharpness. Anupama tells Digvijay they do not need a knife. They will win by serving love through food. Both sides begin preparing for the competition.
Editor’s Take
Anupama’s one year plan for Banku and Ishani was the wisest thing she could have said — she did not say yes and she did not say no. She gave love a chance to prove itself. Ishani saying she will wash utensils if she has to was a small line but it showed real growth. Prem finding out his sabotage failed was deeply satisfying. And the contrast between Prem talking about knives and Anupama talking about love says everything about what kind of competitor each of them is.
