Chandrabhaga sits with Aparajita and tries a different approach this time. She tells her gently that whatever anger Aparajita is carrying, it belongs to Lalit, not to her. She asks if Aparajita has forgotten the values she grew up with. Aparajita does not raise her voice. She takes Chandrabhaga’s blessings first and then tells her clearly that neither her values nor her decision have changed. Lalit jumps in saying he is willing to fall at everyone’s feet and ask forgiveness if that is what it takes. Chandrabhaga adds that the house feels empty without her. Around them the neighbours chime in, telling Aparajita how fortunate she is to have in-laws like this. Aparajita looks at them and says they have no idea what the real story is.
Malti pulls Aparajita inside before things escalate further. Once alone Aparajita tells her plainly that both Lalit and Chandrabhaga are putting on an act. Malti does not argue the point. Instead she hands Aparajita a broom and tells her to help Chandrabhaga clean the house, reminding her that some duties do not go away just because feelings have changed. Aparajita resists, saying this is not her family anymore. Ramgopal backs her up, saying she is right. But then Malti says she will go clean the house herself if Aparajita won’t. That changes everything for Aparajita. She tells Malti that her own self-respect is not worth more than Malti’s dignity and picks up the broom herself.
Away from all this Rakshit is somewhere else entirely in his head. He keeps replaying the moment Aparajita asked him to be her friend, along with all the time they have spent together since. He sits with a difficult thought — how is he supposed to be around her every day knowing she will never be his.
Back at the house Lalit spots Aparajita walking in with the broom and cannot resist a jab, telling Chandrabhaga that she is truly Shaguni’s sister through and through. Chandrabhaga, trying to smooth things over, refers to Aparajita as the daughter-in-law of the house. Aparajita corrects her instantly — she is the daughter here, not the daughter-in-law, and there is a difference.
Ramgopal asks Malti why she is going to these lengths. Malti’s answer is simple. She says she is trying to protect Aparajita from more pain and she will do whatever it takes to save her marriage.
While Aparajita is cleaning, Lalit deliberately steps onto the wet floor to create a scene. Aparajita, just as deliberately, pours water near his feet and he goes down. She walks off without a word. Chandrabhaga is furious — she grabs her slipper and goes after Lalit, calling him the most foolish person she has ever seen and telling him that if this is how he behaves he will only push Aparajita further away. She tells him to actually learn what love looks like. Lalit, humiliated, agrees.
Later Aparajita lets a call from Lawyer Mitali go unanswered. Her mind keeps going back to Malti asking her to give Lalit one more chance and she breaks down. Rashmi is there to comfort her and asks the question that has been sitting with both of them — why is Malti even supporting Lalit and Chandrabhaga in this. Aparajita’s answer is heavy. She says she can stand against everyone else in this fight but not against Malti, because Malti has fallen into their trap without even realising it.
Elsewhere Chandrabhaga tells Malti she should have just gone to Indore as planned, pointing out how much people are already talking about all of this. Malti’s response is quiet but firm — whatever happens, they need to do something for the sake of their children.
The next day brings a packed schedule courtesy of Ira. Aparajita checks with the security guard about a parcel addressed to her and gets a no. Rakshit notices and asks if she was expecting something. Soon after the courier does arrive. Ira immediately questions why Aparajita is using the office address for personal deliveries and reaches to look inside the envelope — divorce papers. Rakshit stops her before she can, telling her firmly that going through someone’s personal documents is not okay. Ira backs off. Rakshit then turns to Aparajita and tells her she is doing the right thing, that this kind of decision takes courage most people don’t have. Aparajita says that courage usually comes from having someone’s support behind you. Rakshit tells her, without hesitation, that his support is hers for as long as she needs it.
What’s Coming Next
Malti asks Aparajita to get ready for the Kovar Kaleva ritual. Lalit and Chandrabhaga arrive and Lalit hands her a saree as a gift. Aparajita responds by handing him the divorce papers instead. Malti makes her position clear — if Aparajita does not withdraw the case, she cannot continue staying there.
Editor’s Take
Malti picking up the broom herself was the moment that actually moved Aparajita, not Chandrabhaga’s words or Lalit’s apologies. That tells you where Aparajita’s real loyalty lies and also where her biggest vulnerability is. Lalit’s little stunt with the wet floor backfiring so badly was satisfying to watch, especially with Chandrabhaga turning on him immediately afterward — though it is hard to take that anger seriously when she was the one setting the scene minutes earlier. Rakshit’s quiet support feels like it is being built up carefully and the precap suggests Malti is about to put real pressure on Aparajita using the one thing Aparajita cannot say no to easily. That ritual is not going to go the way Lalit thinks it will.
